Although it’s hard to admit it , many of us are motivated by the attention and praise of others.
Many of us are motivated by money . But the Bible teaches that there is a far greater reward than the approval of man, there’s a far greater reward than the riches of this world.
The approval of God is what we should chase above any accolades in this world. The lord should be the motivation behind everything we do, He should be the reason for everything we do. Here are 8 (Eight) Bible Verses With Prayers To Allow God To Lead You In Life;
1. Colossians 3: 23- 24 Says,
“Whatever you do work heartily as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward you are serving the Lord Christ”
2. Galatians 1:10 Says,
“For am I now seeking the approval of man or of God or am I trying to please man, if I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ”
What a comforting thought that nothing we do for God is in vain, not one act of kindness goes unnoticed or unseen by him.
3. Romans 12:1 Says,
“Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit serve the the Lord”
Too often we can become lazy and slothful in our walk with Christ, but if we just stop and remember the miracle of the gospel and the unfathomable depth of God’s love for us, it’s hard to remain indifferent.
All around the world all throughout history he has been saving and redeeming sinners like you and me.
To be a part of that work is the most rewarding pursuit we could ever give our lives to when Jesus is the underlying motivation for everything we do our lives will overflow with joy and Peace. His grace supplies us with the ability to fully enjoy this life as well as positively impact the lives of those around us , so whatever you do, do it for God.
4. Mark 16: 15-16 Says
“And he said unto them go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be damned”
I’ve often heard this saying that if Jesus walked the Earth today he wouldn’t be found in the church, He would be found out in the world reaching out to the unbelievers , reaching out to the sinners. Jesus would not be found in a fancy suit behind a pull pit, on a large elevated stage filled with lights and cameras, no He would be out in the poorest parts of the world teaching about love, teaching about repentance. He would be demonstrating true love and I believe that Jesus would have been more concerned with the lost soul than the church service program. I believe you couldn’t find Jesus in the church pews, you would find him out there in the world, He would be out there preaching to the drug addict, He would be showing love to the alcoholic, He would be speaking and teaching the fornicator and the adulterer. I believe his attention would be to save those who are heading to the wrong side of Heaven.
5. Luke 19:10 Says,
“For the son of man came to seek and to save the lost”
And now all of us as the body of Christ as the Church of Christ , we should be jumping, shouting and preaching as loud as we can, to tell the world that there is an eternity to be considered, that there is the destination of either heaven or hell for your soul to be considered, there is hope for everlasting life in Jesus Christ , but there is eternal damnation for sin.
Church should be a place for the unbeliever to be loved, it should be a place for the sinner to come and be overwhelmed by the love of Christ that’s working in us as modern-day disciples. The church should be a place where someone who is plagued by worry and anxiety, they can go and cast their burdens.
In fact dare I say, that the church should be like a hospital and the doctor is Jesus Christ, the Master Physician. If you’re sick in your heart, come on in, be made whole by the Lord. If you’re troubled in your marriage come on in, receive restoration From Jesus Christ. If you’re in sin just come on as you are, and let the Blood of Jesus Christ clean you up and I pray that you hear me loud and clear.
Dear listener , we need to remember the lost souls. You see lost souls aren’t found in Church. Unbelievers aren’t found in church . We as Believers have to go out and tell those those lost souls about Jesus Christ. We may not all be preachers like Billy Graham or Miles Monroe or Reinhard Bonke, but we can share our Testimony to someone , we can simply talk to someone within our circle and tell them about Christ.
6. James 5:20 says
“Let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins”
So as we get ready to approach God, let’s focus on realizing that we have to go outside the four walls of the Church building and actually be the church. We have to demonstrate the love and care of Christ to a dying lost world, so that they too will be able to experience eternity with Christ .
Dear Lord, please give us hearts that care for the Lost Souls of this world, give us a burning love that seeks to tell everyone around us that Jesus Christ is the way he is the truth and the life.
Lord give us boldness and courage so that even in the face of persecution, we will still praise you and we will still look to you
Dear Master, there’s nothing we can do apart from putting our faith in you, we put our faith in you King Jesus because you can save us from sin. We are dependent on your grace to save us. Our works can do nothing for us but it’s only in the perfect work of the cross that we can find salvation. So Lord, we pray that you would help us to share the Gospel with those around us, especially our family members, especially those in our circle of influence. Give us guidance when it comes to how we speak and what we say. May the Holy Spirit lead us to proclaim the good news with love and with sincerity.
7. Matthew 28: 19-2 says,
“Go therefore and Make Disciples of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you and Low, Am With You Always even to the End of the Age”
Lord help us to be obedient to your word and seek to make disciples of all Nations you’ve said that you’re with us always even to the end of the age and so because of that we have nothing to fear or be afraid of and so I pray that you would enable us to use the gifts that you’ve blessed us with all so that we may lead unbelievers to Christ. The gifts that you have placed within us. May they flourish in reaching the hearts of those who are lost and point them to the truth that is Jesus Christ . Whether we worship, teach, encourage or preach and all that we do we know that it’s not by might nor by power but it is by your spirit dear God.
8. 1 Peter 3: 15-16 says,
“Instead you must worship Christ as Lord of your life and if someone asks about your hope as a believer always be ready to explain it, but do this in a gentle and respectful way keep your conscience clear then if people speak against you they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ “
And so our prayer dear Lord Jesus is that our lives would reflect the lives of people who have encountered the son of the Living God. May our lives reflect your word, may our Lives reflect the love that you’ve shown us, may we live by faith and not by sight as we strive to be more like you. Holy Spirit touch our hearts so that we’d be more prayerful more forgiving to others more Loving and more kind. As followers of Christ may the Holy Spirit enable us to live as the kingdom of God. Empower us holy spirit so that we would not conform to this world. Help us to separate ourselves from all of the noise and all of the distractions of the world so that we can spend alone time with you Lord. We bless your name dear father and we truly thank you for hearing our prayer it’s in Jesus name we pray, Amen!!.
